What Andy is
Andy is a deadline dashboard app made by Factor Eight (Andrew Bennett, Saskatoon, Canada). She reads the accounts you connect and writes you a short plan for the day. Andy is provided as is, for personal use, with no warranty: she can be late, she can be wrong, and she is not a substitute for reading the original yourself before a deadline. When you fix something she read, or say it's right, that's your word: she keeps it until the source itself says something new, or its date has gone by and she reads a new one.
Your account and what you connect
You connect only accounts that are yours, and you can disconnect any of them at any time from the app. You are responsible for what you ask Andy to read. Andy never sends, posts or buys anything for you. She does add things to your accounts (time on your calendar, email drafts, reminders, and a dated note on a Notion page when you mark something), and lists them in the app with undo, apart from those notes and status changes on a Notion page. The only things she deletes there are things she made, and reminders in her own list in Apple Reminders, as she keeps that list in step with your to-dos. She reads the calendar on your phone and never writes to it directly.
Andy, part-time and Andy, full-time
Andy, part-time is free: your calendar, your day and your deadlines. Your first find (the first thing that needs you, from what you connect) is free too, and so is the first thing you share with her.
Andy, full-time is the part of Andy that reads what you've connected every day, keeps your day up to date, sorts what you share and drafts replies. It's an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store: US$29.00 a month, or US$249.00 a year (US$199.00 a year for founding members who start a yearly subscription before December 1, 2026, kept for as long as that subscription stays active). Prices outside the US are set in your local currency by the App Store and shown before you buy.
The two free weeks
If you haven't had them before, Andy, full-time starts with two free weeks, Apple's free trial. When they end, the subscription you chose starts and is charged to your Apple account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before they end. Two days before they end, Andy reminds you, if you allow notifications. If you buy a subscription during the free weeks, what's left of them ends.
Renewal and cancelling
Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase (or when the free weeks end). The subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple account's subscriptions (in the app: preferences, your plan). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Andy, full-time until the period you paid for ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. Deleting your Andy account doesn't cancel a subscription.
Time Factor Eight gives
Now and then Factor Eight gives someone Andy, full-time at no charge for a while: a pilot, a reference from someone already here. It comes one of two ways. A reference to the email you sign in with is arranged with Factor Eight directly; it works once and doesn't renew on its own. An App Store offer code is Apple's: you redeem it with Apple, in the App Store, and it starts the subscription above with its free time first, so it renews at the end of that time unless you cancel before, as any App Store subscription does. Nothing is sold or unlocked in the app except through the App Store.
Apple
Apple's standard licence for apps applies to Andy as well as these terms. Apple isn't responsible for Andy or for support; Factor Eight is.
